What's New for the 2026 Ford Escape®?
The 2026 Ford Escape® receives minimal updates from the previous year. Its primary significant change is that it's no longer available for purchase in California or other states that follow similar emissions laws. Aside from that, the Escape® continues to offer a refined ride, generous cabin space, and excellent comfort.

The Active® trim opens the lineup with dual USB charging ports in the second row, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an eight-inch infotainment screen, and six speakers.
Next, the ST-Line brings a sporty flair with body-colored accents, a mesh grille, and a rear spoiler. It also features a flat-bottom steering wheel and 18-inch wheels.
The ST-Line Select adds convenience with heated front seats, LED fog lights, remote start, and power windows.
The ST-Line Elite builds on that with LED headlights, 19-inch wheels, ambient interior lighting, wireless phone charging, and a digital instrument cluster.
Finally, the Platinum™ trim includes a 13.2-inch center touchscreen, rain-sensing wipers, and synthetic leather seating.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2026 Escape® Have?
Power for the Active® and ST-Line trims comes from a 1.5L three-cylinder engine making 180 horsepower. The ST-Line Select and higher trims feature a 2.0L turbo engine with 250 horsepower.
What Safety Features Does the 2026 Escape® Include?
The 2026 Escape® includes driver-assist systems like blind-spot warning, lane-keeping assist, forward collision mitigation, and rear cross-traffic alert.
