What's New for the 2026 Ford Mustang?

For 2026, the Ford Mustang will see only incremental changes. Ford focused on a few trim-specific updates and revised optional packages to let buyers better tailor their Mustang. The model continues to impress with user-friendly, performance-centered tech displays. It accelerates strongly, handles confidently, and offers more space than many rivals.

What Are the 2026 Mustang Trims & Features?

You can get the 2026 Ford Mustang in one of six trim levels.

The entry-level EcoBoost includes LED headlights and 17-inch wheels. A dual exhaust is standard for both styling and performance. The EcoBoost also includes keyless entry and dual-zone climate control. Cloth seating is standard, and a leather gear shifter adds a refined touch. Tech highlights include a Wi-Fi hotspot, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a 13.2-inch infotainment screen, and a 12.4-inch digital instrument panel.

EcoBoost Premium upgrades materials to synthetic leather and adds ambient interior lighting. A heated steering wheel is standard and the front seats are heated and ventilated. This trim also brings an upgraded audio system, proximity-sensing exterior lights, and power-adjustable mirrors.

The GT trim adds a functional hood vent, larger brake rotors, and unique styling features.

GT Premium adds the GT's equipment and steps up to larger 19-inch wheels.

The Dark Horse advances performance with engine oil coolers, a B&O sound system, custom 19-inch wheels, an active exhaust, and exclusive styling and badging.

The Dark Horse Premium builds on that with track-ready upgrades - about 500 hp from a 5.0L V8 (available with a 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic), MagneRide® dampers, Brembo® brakes, heavy-duty engine/transmission/diff coolers, plus an optional Handling Package and RECARO® seats for drivers who want a more track-focused Mustang.
