Ford CEO Jim Farley Says EV Production Will Double This Year

Ford's reputation as a pioneer in the auto industry is known worldwide. Its exceptional vehicles have reshaped markets in the U.S. and beyond. The newest frontier is increased electric vehicle (EV) production.

Ford to Double EV Production

CEO Jim Farley said Ford will double its EV production this year domestically and at its global facilities. Ford builds the Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning in the U.S. and exports these models internationally. Production sits at about 100,000 EVs per year; by the close of 2025, Ford aims to reach 250,000.

Ford's Electric Vehicles

The Mustang Mach-E remains a standout—an SUV that's enjoyable to drive and striking to behold. Offered in multiple powertrain options, it averages 320 miles of range and retains one of the segment's best price points.

The Ford F-150 Lightning continues the momentum. This electric pickup delivers about 240 miles per charge, quick acceleration for its class, and exceptional towing strength.
