Ford is Reinventing Vehicle Assembly

Ford believes a major investment in a new assembly plant will help reduce costs over time. If the concept succeeds, it could reinvent vehicle assembly more than a century after the existing system was created.

An overheating engine isn't something you should have to deal with, but it can occur if something goes wrong with your automobile. Westway Ford has diagnosed and repaired many overheating engines over the years, and we encourage you to seek our help if you have concerns. We have the knowledge and the equipment to address issues with the following areas of your vehicle.
Many different parts work closely together to keep your engine running at a cool temperature. All it takes is for one of these parts to break, incur damage or not work as efficiently as it's supposed to. You'll end up with an overheating engine. We'll inspect several parts of your cooling system, including your radiator, thermostat, and water pump.
Water and coolant running through your vehicle will allow temperatures to cool and pressure to be released. A broken water pump can occur because of wear to the internal components. Rust is common, as is a hole that can cause a leak to occur.
The radiator in your cooling system utilizes a series of fans and internal parts to keep your engine from overheating. We have seen issues with how the fans turn, which can prevent proper airflow. There are also interior parts that can break, allowing coolant to leak or not flow properly.
A thermostat is designed to regulate temperature, whether you're talking about the inside of your home or an automobile. Your Ford's thermostat will keep temperatures stable inside of your engine to prevent overheating. If something goes wrong, there could be an issue with one of the interior valves or the thermostat itself.
Preventing your hoses and belts from wearing out and breaking is an essential part of routine maintenance for your vehicle. We check connections, the quality of the parts, and much more with every service appointment you have. We try to prevent issues, but there may be a time when a belt slips off, or a hose splits in two.
If you are dealing with your engine overheating, contact Westway Ford for more information. We would be happy to help you repair the issue, so permanent damage doesn't occur.
