Fiesta R2 Rally Car Receives 1.0L EcoBoost Engine
The brand-new Ford Fiesta R2 rally car has been outfitted with a 1.0L EcoBoost engine, becoming the first car to compete in the R2 rally class with the small displacement. The Fiesta was homologated by the FIA into the category due to new regulations allowing cars equipped with a 1.0L turbocharged engines to enter the R2 class.
Delivering 168 horsepower, the all-new Fiesta built by M-Sport will make its debut this year at Rally de Portugal, scheduled to be held in May. For the remainder of the season, it will compete solely in the Drive DMACH Fiesta Trophy…
