What's New for the 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E?

Not much is different for the Ford Mustang Mach-E compared to 2021. The 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E has a great all-around package that earned it the prestigious "#1 electric SUV" title in 2021. With the same features returning for 2022, the Mach-E is in an excellent position to retain that title. There's much to enjoy with Mach-E inside, outside, and under the hood. The Mach-E is a powerhouse at any trim level with the option of all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive with most trims. The Mustang Mach-E is a tech-savvy SUV loaded with conveniences such as a touchscreen, wireless app technology, and many advanced safety aids.

2022 Mach-E Trims & Features

There are five trims available for the Mustang Mach-E in 2022. The base model is called the Select. While the Select starts with 18-inch wheels, larger 19-inch wheels come with the higher-end models. A keyless ignition system is standard with this Mustang, and it also has a smartphone keyless entry mechanism. The driver's seat is power-adjustable, and the seats are made out of comfortable simulated leather. A digital instrument panel is standard, and you'll also get a 15.5-inch touchscreen. The infotainment system includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay pairing. Navigation is also standard, and you can open and control the car using a smartphone app. The Select also comes with a portable 120V or 240V cable for charging on the road. Next up, the California Route 1 trim adds a fixed-glass roof, black exterior accents, and black wheels. Automated parking is also included, and the trim has a panoramic camera. With the Premium comes a switch to 19-inch wheels. The Premium adds a hands-free liftgate, too. Its front windows are designed to reduce excess noise, and the front passenger's seat is also power-adjustable. More cold weather comforts are included, too, including a heated steering wheel and heated front seats. Ambient cabin lighting and a 10-speaker sound system are other highlights. The First Edition has contrast stitching and painted brake calipers. The GT adds 20-inch wheels and a black grille, along with sportier front seats. The Performance Edition has custom upholstery and adaptive suspension dampers.

2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E Horsepower

Power varies by trim with the Mach-E. The Select is available with RWD or AWD, and it gets up to 266 HP in power either way. The most torque it provides is 428 LB-FT. The Premium reaches 300 miles of range with an extended-range battery. The GT gets up to 480 HP and over 600 LB-FT in torque.
