Feature-Packed Trims

The 2018 Ford Edge in Irving-Las Colinas is offered in SE, SEL, Titanium and Sport trims. Standard, the SE is fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, a 4.2-inch central display screen, a height-adjustable driver seat, voice controls, Bluetooth, USB port and six-speaker stereo system.

The SEL adds dual-zone climate control, power-adjustable front seats, leather-wrapped steering, heated exterior mirrors and LED headlight accents. Buyers who want more amenities can also opt for the Equipment Group 201A, which sports heated front seats, leather upholstery, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.

The top-ranging Titanium gains 19-inch wheels, a hands-free liftgate, ambient interior lighting, front sport seats, driver-seat memory settings and a 12-speaker Sony-branded sound system.

Underneath the Hood

2018 Ford Edge reviews highlight the SUV's powertrain options. For starters, there's a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, which is good for 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. A little more power can be had with the 3.5-liter V6, which increases output to 280 horsepower and 250 pound-feet. Both variants come matched to a six-speed automatic transmission, and both can be had with FWD or AWD.

The Edge Sport is powered by a 2.7-liter turbocharged V6, which delivers 315 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. It gets a variety of other enhances as well, including a sport-tuned suspension, 20-inch wheels and variable-ratio steering. 

Safety Takes Center Stage

Every model comes standard with antilock brakes, airbags, and traction and stability control for improved handling. On top of these benefits, Ford has equipped the SUV with a rearview camera as standard too, making it easier for drivers to back up and park. Advanced driver aids are also offered, including blind-spot monitoring, forward collision alert and rear cross-traffic alert.
