2025 Ford Transit XL vs 2025 Ford Transit XLT
There are endless ways to use a Ford Transit Van, and thousands of people invent new ways every year. Businesses love them, large families love them, and the industry loves them. We sell the XL and XLT 2025 Ford Transit vans here and are always available to help people pick the proper trim.
Performance
The XL and XLT both offer the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 in two power outputs - either 275 hp or 310 hp. The XL features 16-inch silver steel wheels with black hubcaps; the XLT comes with 16-inch steel wheels and full silver wheel covers.
Appearance
The Transit is eye-catching, and the XL and XLT differ in a few styling elements. The XLT's honeycomb mesh grille with chrome surround gives it a different look than the XL's carbon black surround. Running boards are optional on both trims, and chrome high-intensity HID headlamps are standard only on the XLT. See both trims at our dealership to compare.
Features
Inside, the XL includes vinyl front and rear floor covering, automatic rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a standard AM/FM stereo with a 4" display and Bluetooth. Dual USB ports add convenience. The XLT upgrades to SYNC 4 with a 12" display and connected navigation, carpeted floors front and rear, and a Lane Keeping System with Blind Spot Information. The XL includes a medium center console, while the XLT has a large one. If you want the most driver-assist features as standard, the XLT is a strong option - it includes Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Coverage, which the XL doesn't have standard. The XL, however, can be optioned to add features as needed.
