Specs at a Glance
Finding a new vehicle that fits all of your requirements can be quite a challenge. There are a lot of manufacturers that are making vehicles, but these vehicles can often lack a lot of what consumers are looking for. The quality and craftsmanship of a vehicle is important, but so are affordability, efficiency and safety. When it comes to the 2019 Ford Fusion, this is a vehicle that has pretty much everything you could ever want. As a family vehicle, the Ford Fusion S and SE trim levels are safe and comfortable. If you are in need of a commuter vehicle for work, this is a powerful vehicle that will handle the road quite well. Let’s take a look at a breakdown of the Ford Fusion S and Fusion SE trim levels.
How Does these Vehicles’ Performance Differ?
If you are looking for sport-quality performance, look no further than the Fusion. There are a few different engine options available, depending on the trim level that you choose. The S trim level comes with a 2.5L Duratec I4 engine that provides 175 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque.
If you are thinking about the overall efficiency of this engine, the fuel numbers are estimated at 21 miles per gallon in the city, and 31 miles per gallon on the highway. You can upgrade to the SE trim level. This is a more powerful engine. You get a 1.5L EcoBoost® turbocharged I4 that provides, 181 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque. The efficiency ratings for this trim level is 23 miles per gallon in the city and then 34 miles per gallon for highway driving. These are numbers that you’ll be hard pressed to find anywhere else.
Are there Any Differences in the Trims’ Appearances
The Fusion originally had a sportier sedan option. This has stayed true throughout many different exterior changes over the years. The S and SE trim level are very similar from an exterior standpoint. You’ll love the upgrades that are included in the SE trim level. This includes, 17-inch wheels and a sunroof.
Which Features are Must-Haves for the Fusion S & SE?
The exterior of a vehicle is important. This is what usually grabs your attention to begin with. Once you have shown some interest in the Ford Fusion for the 2019 model year, you’ll absolutely fall in love when you see the interior features. This is a well-rounded vehicle that provides space, comfort, technology and safety all in one package. This is true regardless of what trim level you select. The S trim level has a Ford SYNC infotainment system that is simpler to use than any other system on the market right now. You get four high-quality speakers as part of your audio package. Safety features include Ford’s BLIS Blind Spot Information System and SOS Post-Crash Alert.
The SE trim level has all of the features that are in the S trim level, but a few more surprises have been included in its standard package. Ford has included their Co-Pilot 360 Safety Suite feature. There is a ten-direction, power adjustable seat in the driver’s spot. The passenger seat in the front has six-direction controls. There is plenty of leg room, head space and cargo space throughout.
