Austin Cindric Joins Ford Multimatic Motorsports for Rolex 24 at Daytona

NASCAR Cup driver Austin Cindric has been chosen to race for the Ford Multimatic Motorsports team in the 2025 Rolex 24 at Daytona. He will replace Ben Barker, who is unable to race due to a broken collarbone he suffered in a skiing accident during the holiday season. Cindric will race alongside regular team members Mike Rockenfeller and Sebastian Priaulx in the Ford Multimatic Motorsports Mustang GT3.

This will be Cindric's sixth appearance in the Rolex 24, and he feels confident that the Mustang GT3 will help him perform well.

Cindric, born in Mooresville, NC, is a race-winning driver in the NASCAR Cup Series. A highlight of his career came in 2022 when he won the Daytona 500 in a Team Penske Mustang. Before moving to stock car racing, Cindric raced in major sports car events across the U.S. He has significant experience with Ford development vehicles such as the Mustang GT4 and has made four appearances in the Michelin Pilot Challenge with Multimatic Motorsports at Daytona, including a 2019 win with Priaulx at Road Atlanta.

2025 marks the 10th anniversary of Cindric's first race with Multimatic and Ford at Daytona. The team is excited to have him back, and Cindric is looking forward to preparing for the race on January 26th.
