Payload and towing capacities top the industry with maximums of 3,120 pounds and 11,300 pounds respectively. Power in V6 and V8 engines ranges from 302 to 411 horsepower with 278 to 434 pound-feet of torque delivered in the 4,000 to 4,500 rpm range. The new 2014 F-150 Tremor sport truck offers some high-steppin' athleticism in a regular cab sporting bucket seats, stick-on-the-floor and a powerful 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine which digs in on the low end with 420 pound-feet of torque at 2,500 rpm.

New for 2014 is an option for a compressed natural gas fuel available with the 3.7-liter V6 engine. Other green adaptations include using recycled materials wherever practical in the Ford F-150; the latest addition is rice hull-reinforced plastic. Other recycled materials used in F-150 production include cotton, soybeans and post-industrial plastics used in interior seat cushions, flooring and finish panels.
