If you’ve been wanting to get more active and believe in making a positive impact on the environment, don’t miss the City of Irving’s upcoming Bike Fest!

The annual event is an early celebration of Bike to Work Week, which takes place later in the month on May 16-20. To get ready for a week of cycling around town, you and your family are invited to come to Bike Fest on Saturday, May 7, where you’ll receive loads of important information about bicycling around the Irving area.

From learning about the safest bike routes to receiving free on-the-spot bike checks and info about must-have gear, the festival prepares riders with all the details they need to have a fun, safe bicycling experience.

In addition, Bike Fest will include live music from Texas Sky and the North Lake College Jazz Band. There will also be food trucks, vendors, a Kids’ Bicycle Safety Rodeo and other entertainment. Plus, while supplies last, you can get a free helmet at the event.

Bike Fest takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at North Lake College on May 7, 2016. To learn more about the event, visit the Bike Fest website.
