The 2016 North American International Auto show is in full swing in Detroit, MI, the home of Ford Motor Company. As is every year, there have been so many cool things unveiled from all the automotive manufacturers. Ford has unveiled a few new cars and other cool things including the all-new, most technology packed Ford fusion ever, the all-new F-150 Raptor Super crew, an all-new customer experience Ford Pass and even a new Lego set for the kids.
All-new 2017 Ford Fusion
This year Ford unveiled the all-new 2017 Ford Fusion which is their smartest, most technology packed Fusion ever, including a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid version. The 2017 Fusion is the first Ford car in North America with a pedestrian detection system; other advanced technologies include hands-free parallel and perpendicular parking and SYNC 3. Fusion Energi will allow customers to drive extended distances using just electricity, and then operating as a conventional gas engine-powered hybrid when the battery runs low. The Fusion Platinum will feature a 2.0-liter EcoBoost and all-wheel drive, interior wrapped in antiqued Cocoa leather, Venetian leather hand-wrapped steering wheel, a unique grille finished in Magnetic paint and 19-inch polished wheels.
All-new 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor
All-new Ford F-150 Raptor Super Crew adds room for passengers and gear, making it the toughest, smartest, most capable F-150 Raptor ever. It also features enhanced suspension and improved power-to-weight ratio for even better off-road agility than previous F-150 Raptor. The all-new 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine with 10-speed transmission and torque-on-demand transfer case make it more powerful, efficient and easy to off-road in.
FordPass
Ford has invested in making its customer experience as amazing as it possibly can be with the new FordPass. With FordPass they aim to do for car owners what iTunes did for music fans. It is not limited to Ford owners and will launch in April 2016. Some features will include a Marketplace offering mobility services, FordGuides, a Ford loyalty program and FordHubs featuring the company’s latest innovations. Ford has also partnered with ParkWhiz to help drivers find and pay for parking and FordPay will make it easy to pay for mobility expenses. Ford also partnering with McDonald’s and 7-Eleven to reward FordPass members with merchandise and unique experiences.
Ford Mustang and F-150 Raptor Lego Sets
Ford and LEGO Speed Champions introduce new line of LEGO sets, including two of Ford’s most iconic vehicles at the 2016 North American International Auto Show, the Mustang and F-150 Raptor. Sets will be available for purchase March 1 in LEGO stores and Toys ’R US nationwide.
