Ford has been making headlines lately due to their advancements in autonomous technology. Not too long ago, we reported about Ford becoming the first automaker to test an autonomous car at Mcity and now new official information has been released about the company's latest joint venture with Google. As both companies are on the fast track to developing autonomous vehicles, this exciting, new alliance will prove greatly beneficial for both parties.

With Google currently in the process of testing out their autonomous cars in California and Ford on pace to do the same in a matter of months, it makes perfect sense that these two innovative companies would join forces. As a reputable automotive manufacturer, Ford has the team and equipment needed to develop a truly capable autonomous vehicle that could eventually be released on the market. Google, while not a car company, has exceptional autonomous technology in their possession that could take Ford's Smart Mobility plan to the next level. Through this partnership, along with help from other companies, both Ford and Google will make big waves when it comes to the creation of autonomous cars, trucks and SUVs.

For now, we're going to have to wait to see what comes of Ford's new partnership with Google. However, in the meantime, you can check out Ford's incredible lineup of brand-new 2016 models at Westway Ford.
