Being a part of the community is one of Westway Ford's passions. We contribute to several local organizations throughout the Las Colinas area. For the past eight years, we've been involved with Irving ISD athletics as a corporate sponsor, we've worked with The Highlands School as a partner and we were the title sponsor of the Dash for Dignity 5K run this past fall, which benefited the clients of the Citizens Development Center. Our commitment to the community is what separates us from other dealerships and we are proud of all that we do. Learn more about our efforts within the Irving-Las Colinas area below and seize your next opportunity to help out the community.

Dash for Dignity

Westway Ford was a proud sponsor of last year's Dash for Dignity 5K/Fun Run benefiting the Citizens Development Center, a non-profit organization which specializes in providing employment opportunities for mentally and physically disabled individuals within the Irving community. Over 800 people participated in the run and we were able to raise more money than ever before to support CDC. In addition to the race, attendees also enjoyed carnival games, music and a variety of art/food vendors.

Irving ISD Athletics

A sponsor of Irving ISD Athletics for over eight years, Westway Ford has hosted many fundraisers in support of the program, including Drive One 4 UR School. A test-drive fundraiser backed by Ford Motor Company, Drive One 4 UR School encouraged attendees to test drive one of our Ford models, and for each test-drive completed, $20 was donated to ISD Athletics. Outside of Irving ISD, we've also held this event at the Highlands School in support of their athletics program.

John Walsh DNA Lifeprint

Dedicated to the importance of child safety, Westway Ford has also held two John Walsh-endorsed DNA Lifeprint events. Families throughout the community were urged to come out for each event and those who participated were able to receive biometric palm prints, ten-digit biometric fingerprints and a high-quality digital photograph of their child for better security. Parents also received a Child Safety Journal with additional tips and safety information, which they could use to educate their child.

At Westway Ford, we believe the core foundation of any community starts with education. That is why we pride ourselves in our community involvement within the local schools. We encourage all businesses alike to participate and give back to this wonderful community we call home.
