The 2020 F-150 is rolling out with some impressive new tech features. Now, every F-150 comes standard with 4G LTE Wi-Fi connectivity. Passengers can connect devices to the Wi-Fi and while away a long road trip in style. Those who select the XL, XLT, or Lariat trim models can choose from new appearance packages to give the F-150 a little extra bravado. On the Lariat and up, the F-150 comes standard with the Ford Co-Piot360 package. This bundle of driver safety aids helps you avoid danger.

2020 Ford F150 Has Abundant Features

There are seven F-150 models available: the entry-level XL, midgrade XLT, off-road-ready Raptor, upscale Lariat, cowboy-themed King Ranch, posh Platinum, and top-trim Limited. The XL gives you all the work-truck basics at a fair price. This base model includes must-have utility features, like trailer sway control and pre-wired trailer connections.

Upgrade to the XLT for increasing comfort with features like front-seat lumbar adjustments and power accessories. This truck also gives you a solid infotainment lineup, which includes Ford's Sync 3 infotainment interface and complete smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Raptor starts with the XLT features and adds off-road-friendly hardware that you won't find on any of the other truck trims. This includes Fox shocks, skid plates, and a special four-wheel-drive system meant for rugged terrain.

The Lariat delivers a lot of high-end features, from leather upholstery to keyless entry and ignition. The King Ranch builds on this luxury its Western theme. The Platinum is equipped much like the King Ranch, but with its own clean-cut style. The top-of-the-line Limited is fully stacked with every imaginable luxury and tech feature. It even adds driver safety aids that aren't available on any other trim.

F150 Performance Under the Hood

The entry-level F-150 XL comes standard with a 3.3-liter V6 that makes 290 horses and 265 pound-feet of torque. That's plenty of muscle to get you started. This engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.

This full-size pickup truck also offers some powertrains that do an excellent job of combining performance with fuel economy. The first is a turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 engine rated for 326 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. Depending on how you configure your truck, this engine can help you earn up to 22 mpg combined. Next up is the turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel engine. In addition to helping you earn up to 30 mpg on the highway, this diesel engine supplies 250 horses and 440 pound-feet of torque for an impressive towing performance.

On the high end of the power spectrum, you've got two options. For classic V8 performance, choose the Ford 5.0-liter V8 engine. It makes 395 horses and 400 pound-feet of torque for substantial performance. The only engine option with more power is the turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine. There are actually two different versions of this engine. One makes 375 horses and 400 pound-feet of torque for excellent towing and hauling capabilities. On the Limited and Raptor, a high-performance version of this V6 makes 450 horses and 510 pound-feet of torque for top-of-the-line performance.

Note that, except for the base engine, all of these engines come with a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission. It's designed to help you move heavy loads and maximize fuel economy at the same time.
