Linked to quad exhaust tips, the eight-cylinder powerplant is also standard on the GT Premium Fastback. Both muscle cars run on a six-speed manual transmission system that includes the Rev Matching technology for sporty handling. You may choose the optional 10-speed automatic transmission for these powerful Ford models. The optional GT Performance Package adds a handful of exclusive hardware to each trim. When paired with the manual gearbox, the TORSEN differential creates an axle ratio of 3.73. When synced with the automatic gearbox, the TORSEN differential creates an axle ratio of 3.55. The signature package adds six-piston calipers with the legendary Brembo branding to both Mustang editions. Some other highlights from the GT Performance Package include a large radiator, strut-tower braces, upsized rear sway bars, and unique chassis tuning. Standard on these aggressive Ford muscle cars, the Launch Control ensures rapid acceleration on the drag strip. You'll also get access to the Selectable Drive Modes in the GT Premium Fastback edition.
