Westway Ford Gives Back: 20th Annual Dash for Dignity

For all of us at Westway Ford, the holidays always come with the warm feeling of giving to those in need. We try to do as much as possible to benefit the Dallas-Fort Worth community throughout the year, but there's one event we've been involved with for quite some time now: the Citizen Development Center's Dash for Dignity.

About the Citizens Development Center. The Citizens Development Center (CDC) is a non-profit organization that serves adults with intellectual, mental health or physical disabilities in the Dallas area. More than 350 adults with disabilities are currently enrolled in the CDC's many programs. Westway Ford has been a proud partner of the CDC for 20 years and we look forward to many years to come.

About the Dash for Dignity. Westway Ford and the CDC held this annual event at Waterway Tower in Irving, Texas to raise funds and awareness for the CDC. Runners participated in a 5K or a one-mile fun run along Lake Carolyn, followed by a family fair. We saw a crowd of over 600, and everyone enjoyed music, carnival games, raffles, food and fun activities for kids. Our co-chair and emcee, local sports reporter Mike Doocy of KDFW Fox 4 News, has been our partner from the beginning. The Dash is a fun gathering of families, friends and community supporters of the adults with disabilities in the Dallas area.
