Five important items to always keep in your vehicle
We all know that sometimes things can happen at the most inconvenient times and you need to be prepared. Here are the top 5 items that the Westway Ford team suggests that you always have in your vehicle.
Money: Sometimes you run into situations where you may have forgotten your wallet or are simply visiting a restaurant that only takes cash. Our suggestion is to keep $20-$30 somewhere in the vehicle for unexpected occasions. It would also be a great idea to keep a roll of quarters for street parking and car washes too! One of our favorite hiding places would be under a floor mat!
Umbrella: With the unpredictable spring weather in Texas, you never know if the forecast will be accurate for the day or not. Keeping an umbrella in your vehicle can help you stay dry when random thunderstorms hit! It can also be used to shield you and your family from the sun at a sporting or outdoor event.
Chargers: Whether it’s the kid’s iPad or your iPhone, these devices tend to die in the worst situations. For example, if you run out of gas or have a flat tire, a dead phone won’t do you much good to get help! These chargers can be found at a local drug store for less than $5!
Snacks: Everyone loves snacks so we don’t think it would hurt to throw a couple bags of chips, granola bars and fruit snacks into a container and keep them in the vehicle. This could remedy messy melt downs or crave your hunger on a road trip! It might be beneficial to keep a few water bottles in the container as well!
Manual: Typically, your owner’s manual stays in your glove compartment but on the small chance that you did put it elsewhere, it needs to reside in the vehicle somewhere! You never know when you might need help resetting, repairing or rearranging your vehicle!
